Alchemy Capital Partners is a privately funded merchant bank based in Toronto. It advises, invests in and acquires mid-market companies with enterprise values up to $250 million. It pairs selective advisory work (M&A, private financings, recapitalizations, restructurings) with control investments in established Ontario businesses such as Schaaf Foods, Prestige Design and Construction and Diamond Line Painting. Its published team is two senior professionals, and the site says it is still building its team and invites candidates to reach out.
Selective advice to growth companies on acquisitions and divestitures, private capital financing, recapitalizations, restructuring, joint ventures and international expansion.
Control investments in established, profitable lower-middle-market companies (including family businesses without a succession plan), held long term with the target's name and staff retained.
Official site states the firm is headquartered in Toronto but publishes no street address (contact is by web form only). This list may be incomplete.

Reasons that work in interviews
At this size the interviewer is usually a founding partner, so a reason assembled from the firm’s homepage will not survive. Build the answer from four things instead, in order: one named transaction from their tombstones and what you found interesting about it; who you would report to, and what you want to learn from them specifically; why small, in your own words, tied to something you have actually done; and why this sector or region, if the firm has one.
There is little reliable public material on Alchemy Capital, and an answer assembled from a homepage will not survive a founding partner. Build it from one named transaction, who you would report to, and why you want a team this small.
Establish first: whether the firm is advisory or principal, which changes the answer entirely.

No sourced transactions, people moves or recent coverage for this firm.
