What we hold, and how to get rid of it.

Bay Street Oracle Intelligence is a Canadian product used mostly by students, which means what you give us is a resume with your name, your address and your work history on it. This page says what happens to it in plain words. Last updated 9 October 2026.

What we collect

Your email address, when you create an account. It is how you sign in and the only thing we need to identify you.

Your resume, if you upload one. The file itself is kept in private storage so you can refresh your plan without uploading it again, and what we read out of it — your school, your roles, your sectors — is stored alongside your account. You can delete both at any time, and the file is replaced rather than duplicated when you upload a new one.

What you tell us directly: the paths you are aiming at, your school, your graduation year, and the firms you follow.

How you use the site: which firms you open, which sections you reach, what you search for. We use it to find out which parts of the research are worth keeping and which are not being read.

We do not collect payment details. When BSO Pro is paid for, the card form is hosted by Stripe and the card number never reaches us.

Who else sees it

Supabase stores the database, your account and your resume file. Vercel runs and serves the site.

Anthropic reads your resume when you upload one, so the plan can be built from what is actually on it. The file is sent to their API for that purpose. It is not used to train models.

Stripe handles payment when there is one. Google and Microsoft see only that you chose to sign in with them.

We do not sell your information, and we do not hand it to recruiters or to the firms on this site. If you opt in to updates from FrontRun at sign-up, your email goes to them for that purpose and you can stop it at any time.

What is public

Everything we publish about firms, people and transactions comes from public sources and is cited. Nothing you tell us about yourself appears on a firm page, and your plan is visible only to you.

Deleting it

You can delete your resume from your plan page, and you can delete your account, which removes the resume, the plan, the firms you follow and the usage tied to you. If you would rather we did it, email info@baystreetoracle.ca from the address on the account and we will confirm when it is done.

Under Canadian privacy law you can also ask what we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Same address, and there is no charge.

Cookies

A cookie keeps you signed in and another remembers your plan between visits. There is no advertising on this site and no third-party advertising trackers.

Changes, and getting in touch

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with what we already hold, we will say so rather than quietly update the date. Questions, corrections and deletion requests all go to info@baystreetoracle.ca.

How the published research is sourced and verified is a separate question, answered on the methodology page.
