Centurion One Capital is an independent Toronto investment bank founded by Kia Besharat (Executive Chairman), who co-founded it with Nima Besharat (CEO) and Raphael Yeung (Head of Investment Banking). It is registered as an exempt market dealer in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. Its work is private placements of equity and debt (including venture debt, bridge loans and convertibles), RTOs, M&A and advisory for small-cap growth companies, and it also makes principal investments, which it calls a merchant-banking approach. It is best known for its invitation-only investor events: the annual Toronto Growth Conference (9th edition in 2026) and summits in Los Angeles, the Bahamas and Miami. The public team is small (five people listed), so it is not a structured analyst-program employer.
Raises common and preferred equity, rights offerings and secondary placements for growth companies, and also arranges reverse takeovers (RTOs). These are offered through its exempt-market-dealer registration.
Places venture debt, senior debt, bridge financing and convertible debentures.
Advises on asset purchases, friendly and hostile takeover bids, fairness opinions, acquisition and divestiture reviews, and capital-markets strategy.
Says it makes principal investments alongside clients, which it describes as a merchant-banking model.
Runs invitation-only growth-company conferences: the Toronto Growth Conference (9th edition in 2026), an LA Summit, a Bahamas Summit and a Miami Summit (first held in 2026).
The site footer on every page lists one Toronto office (150 King Street West, Suite 340). The site's 'Contact' page still shows placeholder template text, so there is no complete official locations list. The disclaimer names dealer registrations in B.C., Alberta, Ontario and Quebec, not offices. This list may be incomplete.

Reasons that work in interviews
3 reasons for Centurion One Capital
At this size the interviewer is usually a founding partner, so a reason assembled from the firm’s homepage will not survive. Build the answer from four things instead, in order: one named transaction from their tombstones and what you found interesting about it; who you would report to, and what you want to learn from them specifically; why small, in your own words, tied to something you have actually done; and why this sector or region, if the firm has one.
High-volume small-cap financing shop, so you see many complete processes in a year.
Emerging growth issuers across sectors keep the work varied.
Lean team means responsibility arrives quickly rather than on a schedule.
