Reasons that work in interviews
3 reasons for Georgian
Venture interviews test sourcing and judgement rather than technicals. Bring a company they have not invested in and explain why you would back it, then name a portfolio company of theirs you find interesting and why. That does more than any structural reason.
Runs an in-house applied research and data science team that works directly with portfolio companies, which almost no other Canadian fund does: the firm is a product organisation as much as an investor.
Software and AI focus with a defined, published investment thesis.
Toronto-based with North American deal flow.
Coming soon
We’re collecting the real technical and behavioural questions candidates were asked at Georgian, by role and office, and how each round runs.
When they’re in, they’ll be part of BSO Pro, which already has candidate reports for dozens of firms.
Interviewing there sooner than that? Get in touch and we’ll help you prepare.
How juniors get in
Hires investment-team associates with a few years of consulting, banking or investing experience; there are no analyst seats and no investment-team internships are posted, so go in after a first job.
Green: evidence it does. Struck through: evidence it doesn’t. Dashed: no public evidence either way.
Each row is a start season; the bars are when you apply. The track starts this month, so how far right a bar sits is how far off it is.
