Reasons that work in interviews
4 reasons for PICTON Investments
Expect the real question underneath to be “why this strategy”, then “why this platform within it”. Have a view on long/short versus multi-manager versus event-driven before you have a view on the firm, and bring one idea you can defend.
Built the Canadian liquid alternatives market rather than following it, so the firm has a position on portfolio construction rather than just a return stream.
The fortified portfolio framework is published and specific: engage with it rather than describing the firm as an alternatives manager.
Multiple strategies under one roof means you see several approaches to risk from one seat.
Canadian and independent at a size where your work is visible.
