Winter and Summer 2027 M&A internship posted in Montreal
Four-month on-site M&A intern terms (January-April or May-August 2027) posted for the Edelweiss Software Group deal team.

Vertical Market Software Acquirer
Montreal buy-and-hold acquirer of vertical market software companies, with deal-team M&A internships for students.
Valsoft is a Montreal-headquartered company, founded in 2015, that acquires vertical market software businesses and holds them: it does not run a fund and has no set exit horizon, so acquired companies stay in its portfolio for the long term. It reports more than 150 companies across 20+ industries and 14+ countries, organized into seven operating groups that each source and close their own acquisitions alongside a corporate M&A team. For Canadian students it is a private-equity-style path rather than a fund job: its M&A internship in Montreal (Winter, Summer and Fall terms) puts interns on live deal teams for sourcing, modelling and diligence. It also has a Toronto office.

Seven industry-aligned groups (Aspire, Edelweiss, Fluent, Helios, Lighthouse, Manos and TAG), each led by managing partners and each with its own M&A team that sources and executes acquisitions in its verticals. Acquired companies keep their brand and management and report into a group.
Long-term ownership support for held companies: capital for add-on acquisitions and product work, governance, planning and operational benchmarking, plus post-acquisition integration work in which M&A analysts take part.
Central artificial-intelligence team and shared infrastructure that builds AI features into portfolio companies' products and workflows; led by a Chief AI Officer.
