Portfolio Manager/Director, Portfolio Construction

AIMCo is hiring a Portfolio Manager/Director for its Public Equities portfolio-construction team in Calgary. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role translates investment insights, client objectives and risk considerations into portfolio design across index, fundamental, systematic and portable-alpha strategies.

The position develops portfolio-construction frameworks, supports capital-allocation and risk-budgeting decisions, designs and monitors derivatives overlays, performs attribution and scenario analysis, and works with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, risk teams and external partners.

Applicants should have at least ten years of institutional-investment experience with substantial exposure to public-equities portfolio construction, asset allocation, portfolio strategy, quantitative research or multi-strategy portfolios. Direct portable-alpha experience, quantitative or systematic strategy experience, an advanced quantitative or finance degree, and a CFA or equivalent designation are preferred.
